Kenyan Safari Holidays
A safari in Kenya will leave you knowing that you have experienced something special. Kenya is still considered the original African safari destination, steeped in safari history, safari culture and outstanding landscapes.
Kenya has many dominating regions, one is the Great Rift Valley. The Kenyan Rift Valley is part of the East African rift valley and this region has many interesting and unique sites such as the countless lakes and the many millions of pink flamingos. Africa’s second tallest mountain can also be found in the rift valley, Mount Kenya – this mountain is also regarded as one of the best climbs in Africa.
For game viewing a trip to the Amboseli national park is a must. The park provides spectacular views of Africa’s tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro as well as herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffe and Zebra who are drawn to the park to drink at the marshy swamp lands which are fed by rain and snow from Kilimanjaro through out the year.
As well as an amazing safari experience Kenya has recently become an excellent destination for beach holidays. Whilst Mombassa is a typical bustling African coastal town coupled with splendid white sandy beaches, Lamu Town is regarded as a peaceful, relaxed historical town found on Lamu Island. These two wonderful beach destinations are also coupled with amazing water sports regarded as some of the best and most exhilarating on the African coast!
